The LAX Coastal Chamber recently installed L&R’s Charles Bassett as chair for the 2016-2017 chamber year at its annual Installation Dinner.
“This is an exciting time for our LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, and I am proud to be leading this organization in the upcoming year,” said Bassett, who added that his goals include:
• Expanding the chamber’s corporate membership base and partnerships to create more value for the local business community
• Building branding alliances with neighboring chambers in El Segundo, Culver City and Inglewood (featuring Hollywood Park and the new L.A. Rams facility)
• Strengthening the chamber’s relationship with member educational institutions such as LMU, Pepperdine, Otis and the University of West Los Angeles to provide student internships, continuing education and community outreach programs
• Working closely with LAWA and member businesses to promote great communication during the transformation of LAX into a “World-Class Airport” through the Landside Modernization Access Program (LAMP)
