It’s a privilege to be writing to you as the President of the Board for Gateway to Los Angeles. I am honored to be leading the Board during such an exciting time of growth at LAX.
I would like to personally thank Grant Coonley of the LAX Hilton Hotel for his outstanding 13 years of leadership as our outgoing board president. Grant has been an instrumental part of our BID’s success over the past decade.
I am more confident than ever that the future of our organization will be filled with excitement and success as LAX begins its transformation into a world-class airport. I am excited to see new hotels and retail facilities becoming more prevalent on Century Boulevard.
We have a strong, experienced leadership team led by our Executive Director Laurie Hughes. Laurie has built a solid foundation for our organization over the years and has positioned our BID to capitalize on opportunities in the LAX community for many years to come. LAX will continue to be an economic powerhouse that will afford our member businesses much success. We will continue to leverage our well-established market position and strong relationships to foster continued development and growth in our business community.
