BOAC MAKES ERBACCI’S POSITION PERMANENT

Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC) has voted unanimously to approve Mayor Eric Garcetti’s nomination of Justin Erbacci as the next Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA. Erbacci, who joined LAWA in 2016, has served as Interim CEO since January 1, 2020. Erbacci was selected after an exhaustive national search.

Crenshaw/LAX Update

One of Los Angeles’s most anticipated transit projects, an 8.5-mile light rail line connecting South LA to the South Bay, won’t open in 2020, as planned. According to a Metro staff report, the agency’s Crenshaw/LAX Line, once expected to open in 2019, is now projected to be ready for riders by next year at the earliest.

`LAWA CEO to Depart, Justin Erbacci Expected to Serve as Interim CEO

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has announced the December 31 departure of Chief Executive Officer Deborah Flint, who has accepted a position as the President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, which operates Toronto Pearson Airport. The Board of Airport Commissioners will consider at its December 19 meeting the appointment of LAWA Chief Operating Officer Justin Erbacci as Interim CEO while BOAC conducts a search.
